About Us

Our Three Pillars

Sustainability
113

We are focused on addressing and reducing the impact of single-use menstrual products on our environment, reproductive health and educating women about how they can make sustainable and impactful choices when dealing with periods on a monthly basis.

Empowerment
111

We are passionate about empowering women to not only know more about their reproductive health but how their bodies work during their period.

Economical
114

Our product is reusable and can last up to 10 years depending on maintenance. This makes it an economical option which also seeks to address the challenge of period poverty.

“iMbali” means flower in isiZulu.
A name we chose because of how it beautifully reflects the delicate nature of a women’s period. Just as each flower requires unique care care to bloom, every women deserves period care that’s as unique as she is.

Founder’s Story

iMbali was founded by Boithabiso in 2025 after being inspired by the positive impact the use of menstrual cups had on her physically, mentally and financially. She instantly made the connection on how this would benefit not only young women starting their period journey but for more mature women to rediscover their bodies and how they work during their period. This resulted in the launch of iMbali Cups.
